The transformation towards a more-than-human and sustainable economy — one that meets the social foundation without exceeding the ecological ceiling. That is our vision, and the vision of many people walking together in that direction. If you’re walking that way too, this is your space.
Monnou is a distributed strategic design studio dedicated to addressing complex challenges: the ones that are difficult not only to solve, but even to define. The ones that require rigour and method, but also sensitivity and creativity. The ones that involve multiple stakeholders who aren’t always easy to bring together.
Our name comes from the Valencian món nou — new world. We work as a network: for each project, we activate the right experts, researchers and creatives for the challenge. We are not a conventional consultancy — we are the node that makes possible projects that wouldn’t happen alone.
Our approach
Principles and methodology
Ethics & Sustainability
We place ethics and sustainability at the centre of every decision, as a design criterion. This means evaluating the real impact of each project, and accompanying organisations aligned with this vision beyond regulatory compliance towards genuine transformation.
Methodological rigor & research
Our own methodology, Creative Regeneration, developed through practice and academic research together with the Universitat Politècnica de València — published in The International Journal of Designed Objects (2026) — integrates three phases of work: strategic exploration of context, organisational activation, and design of tangible solutions. A continuous, non-linear process oriented towards real impact.
Working as a network
We work in a distributed way: for each project, we activate a network of experts in strategy, design, research, impact measurement, regulation and many other fields, according to what the challenge requires. Because only through cooperation can we address the challenges of a world in constant change.
Experimenting & Challenging
Complex challenges are not solved with pre-established solutions. That is why prototyping, testing and learning from failure is a structural part of our process. We challenge initial assumptions and validate solutions before scaling. Creativity is not a superficial layer — it is a tool for strategic exploration.
